I'm walking on sunshine.

Show Me is coming soon! Preorder available.

I have been in a FUNK.

I'm blaming it on the weather because, well, why not? 🤣 It's been so blah in Ohio for the last eighty-six years, it seems, and I'm so totally over it. Boo!

GIVE ME SUNSHINE.

My grandma used to say that if you couldn't find sunshine, be sunshine. Honestly, I kinda think she might've been a little tipsy when she said that. (Sorry, Grandma.) I'm still going to try it though, because what do I have to lose?

So, this post is dedicated to sharing sunshine.

Here we go ...

☀️ Show Me is coming together beautifully and I have 0 doubt that you will fall hopelessly in love with my bad boy MMA fighter who loves his mama. Preorder here if you haven't. It'll be in KU on release day, of course.

☀️ Annie is having puppies! Not today, but probably next week. I've never been a puppy grandmother before, so wish me luck. I'm SO excited! (Yes, pics will be shared. That'll be the sunshine in a future email. haha)

☀️ LL#3 has taken over my TikTok account. I'm smashed with work and uninspired social media-wise. He looked at me the other day and said, "You know what, Mom? I got this." I don't have the energy to argue with him, honestly. He'd love it if you engaged with him on there.

☀️ Sacrifice is $2.49 until the end of the month in the US and Canada! If you know me, you know this is one of my all-time favorites and the one I'd LOVE to see on the big screen! (I'll share a snippet at the end of this email because that will make me happy! I love this book SO MUCH ... even though you definitely need tissues to get through it.)

☀️ My birthday is next week and I'm running a SUPER SALE in The Locke Shop starting on the 1st. If you've been waiting to snag signed paperbacks, prepare thyself. The time is coming.

☀️ Just found out that a BUNCH of my books are now on Overdrive, Hoopla, and more! If you are a library girlie, you can borrow them! 👏 If your library doesn't have them, request them. They can get them now. Woohoo!

Snippet from Sacrifice:

I kiss the top of her head. “I’ve made two decisions. I’m fighting and you’re mine. So you don’t need to worry your pretty little head about either one of them.”

She wraps her arms around my waist and pulls me closer, then pushes me away just as quickly.

“What?”

“We can’t do this,” she hisses.

“Oh, Jules, we’ve already done this. I warned you.”

“No, Crew. This.” She takes a few steps back.

I hate the distance. Although it’s a couple of steps at best, it feels like a mile compared to her being up against me and in my arms.

This,” I reply, looking at the empty space between us, “is ridiculous.”

“I told you I don’t want Everleigh to be suspicious. How would I ever explain this to her?”

My eyes instinctively roll. “Oh, I don’t know. That I’ve loved you my entire life?”

Read. Listen. Sob in all the ways. (BIG audio discount in The Locke Shop.)

Crew is legit the best hero on the face of the (fictional) planet. He's broken and flawed—he's made so many mistakes! But there's never been a hero who has been so ready to acknowledge his mistakes, step up to the plate to fix them, and to sacrifice everything to do the right thing.

Grab it here. Or listen to the audio BUT, I'm WARNING YOU, it's beautiful and glorious and you ✨ will cry ✨.

🙏🏼 There. I'm feeling better already. Grandma might've been onto something.

But, just to be sure ...

☀️ Let's celebrate some of my friends with their new releases:

Forever Undone by J Saman: I never should have agreed to marry my older brother's best friend, but I was in a bit of a jam.

Aspen by Fiona Cole: I don’t know whether Aspen Quinn will be my ruin…or my salvation.

Whisper Sweet Nothings by Laura Pavlov: She’s a decade younger. I’m her boss.

She’s off-limits.

Adriana Locke

At nineteen, she traded her small-town roots for big-city life, only to realize her heart beats for quiet mornings and cozy chaos. These days, she’s living her happily-ever-after in Ohio with Mr. Locke—her high school sweetheart—four lively sons, and two hilariously hyper Jack Russell terriers. When she’s not penning love stories that will leave you laughing and sighing, Adriana is battling the epic quest of missing silverware, “gardening” (a.k.a. chatting with her plants), or leaving her grocery list on the counter as she heads to the store. Grab a cup of coffee, settle in, and let her books whisk you away to a world of heartwarming romance and irresistible heroes.
